New Chief Executive Officer

Brian Murphy was appointed as Balcas CEO on May 7. Brian has been head of finance at Balcas since 1992. Prior to that he was a manager in the Energy advisory division of Arthur Andersen in London. In accepting his new challenge Brian paid generous tribute to Balcas’ previous managing director Mr Ernest Kidney. Brian thanked Ernest for his tireless work in growing and developing the business through his various roles over the past 40+ years. Brian expressed his delight at Ernest’s decision to stay on with Balcas in a sales development role. In taking on his new role, Brian looked forward to benefiting from Ernest’s experience, wisdom, and support. Keith Gallagher, the current Balcas group financial controller has succeeded Brian as CFO.
