International Day Of Forests
It may only be day 2 but Spring is certainly not disappointing!
It is also #InternationalDayOfForests and to celebrate we’re showing you our latest forest photo. If you look closely you can see a celtic knot of trees in this beautiful forest of conifers in Glencar, County Leitrim/Sligo. Planted 20 years ago, Japanese Larch was used for the trinity knot as they shed & change colour while the evergreen Sitka Spruce in the surrounding woods remaining green all year.
As well as good to look at, sustainably managed forests are actually great for our health and wellbeing and using wood reduces CO2 helping us to fight climate change by building, powering and heating better.
